I love feeling empowered in the mornings! To ensure this start of enthusiastic energy, I first wake up and smile. I then, while still in my bed, stretch by bringing my arms to my head and then straight out to my side. With arms outstretched I begin expressing what I am grateful for. Often it is as simple as being grateful for a new day to exercise my power of choice in creating what I want.
Once I am out of bed I will head toward the bathroom, stopping to smile in the mirror, and quietly tell myself that I am beautiful and am doing amazing things. I then, put my hand to the mirror, and high-five myself. 🙂
The more I express gratitude, the more it flows authentically. The feeling it produces first thing in the morning is life-giving. It is a powerful way to start my day, to say the least.
I also gain strengthening power when I spend any amount of time in spiritual practices. Some of mine include; reading, studying, writing, meditating, movement, and breath work. Every morning is different. The important piece to gain from this practice is enlightenment. Whatever it is, I am seeking to be taught from the spirit.
These simple steps align me with the truth inside me. As I ponder over the things I desire in my life and the way I want to feel, it is easy to believe in them. I feel the energy of these desires already alive and forming. The power of creation awakens within along with the flow of abundance and love. My focus is on the truth within and around me. I feel strength in who I am and what I can accomplish.
Currently, my night routine varies. But there is one thing that stays the same. I like to end my day with writing down my wins. I have a cute little book in my night stand that holds my actions from the day that served me. Actions may include; the choices that helped me to maintain the state I started my day with or opportunities from my struggles that gave me a new and clearer insight into myself and the situation.
I have learned, that the last thoughts you have before you fall asleep replay in your mind over and over while you sleep. So of course I am going to choose a powerful replay. Wouldn’t you?
Incorporating these morning and night routines, which we can call “book ends,” help me live with intent and keep me focused on all the good within me. So each night and morning I am literally celebrating me. So much love and support I feel from myself for myself. It is like I hear, “Good job Leesa! Keep up the great effort” replay in my mind night after night. It is a simple tool that is beyond empowering.
These consistent actions steps keep me in a state where I am aligned with truth. They keep my false beliefs of self trimmed down, way down. And is a powerful tool in solidifying new beliefs about myself and strengthening new brain synapses. I just love the process of becoming. It is a glorious process. I am so grateful for such powerful tools.
